RingPong Rules

Rule #1: Play RingPong however you all want, but for competition here are some general guidelines. Complete pro rules found here.

Serve Through the Ring – Rock-paper-scissors for 1st serve. At serve all players stand at least 3 steps behind the ring but can move freely after serve. After 1st serve, the serving side is whichever side the ball lands on.
Up to 2 Touches – A player may use up to 2 touches to return the ball through the ring (except on a serve which is 1-touch). Any part of the body & paddle may be used as a touch as long as the ball is not held. The ball may touch the ring & net during play, but not on the serve.
Score Through the Ring – A point is scored by sending the ball through the ring and it landing before the opponent sends it back through the ring. Play to 11, win by 2.
Play Anywhere – Play with boundary lines, or without them for the most intense action.

101+ Variations

With 101+ variations (list here), RingPong fits any group. Here are 4 favorites:

RingPong Disc – Play 360° around the ring with teams of any size using a flying disc (not included). 1 point: sail the disc through either side of the ring; 2 points: Score from 20 ft away; bonus point if a teammate catches the disc through the ring. Complete rules HERE.
RingPong Soccer – Played 360° around the ring, with teams of any size able to score through either side. A goal through the ring is worth 1 point, or 2 points if kicked from 20 feet or more. A bonus point is awarded if a teammate cleanly stops the ball after it passes through the ring.
RingPong Badminton – Played the same as the original RingPong but using the included birdies to slow down the pace of play.
RingPong DiscGolf – Played the same as classic disc golf, but a hole is completed when the disc sails through the ring.
